GLHC Subsidiaries

City of Lansing in partnership with the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition (GLHC) provides programs that allow low and moderate income households to buy their own home.

The City provides funding and technical assistance in support of the Rehabilitation Purchase Program. It helps GLHC acquire vacant residential structures that are rehabilitated and sold to income eligible families.

GLHC is Seeking Volunteers for
The 4th Baker Donora Extreme Street Makeover!

The Greater Lansing Housing Coalition and the Baker Donora Center are partnering for a fourth annual “Extreme Street Makeover!” (ESM!)  This year we will work for 2 days on recreating Linval Street between Baker and Christiancy Street.  Work will include porch, step and roof repairs, walk and driveway improvements, landscape projects and ...

The City of Lansing will be donating trees to help create screening between neighborhood homes and the John Bean building.

ESM! will begin at 9:00 am and end about 5:00 PM on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27.  Capital Area Untied Way is recruiting volunteers through its Annual Day of Caring 2008 and Baker Donora Neighbors have volunteered to work on a variety of projects and help with refreshments.

GLHC is looking for people and teams who would like to help create an amazing transformation.  If you can volunteer, please call Lynne at the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition: 372-5980.or Anita at the Baker Donora Center (485-0907).

If you can donate materials for the project, please call the same numbers.  If you can support ESM with a cash donation to help pay for supplies and materials, please send a check to GLHC, 1017 West Lapeer Street, Lansing, Michigan 48915.  Please note Linval ESM in the “for” line.
