Apartments for Rent

STUDENTS WELCOME!

316 S. MLK 2 units available 9/09.  2 bedroom quadplex.  Rent is $535 per month plus gas, electric, and trash removal.  Security Deposit $400.  Water and Sewage included in rent.  Coin operated washer and dryer in common area. 12 month lease.  Maximum of 4 people per unit.  NO PETS.  Minimum annual income of $19,000 is highly recommended (student loan income applies).  References required. 

Very close to Cooley Law School, walk-able and/or short bike ride.

Non-refundable $15 application fee is required.

GLHC is an Equal Opportunity Housing Provider.  Any person has the right to make a rental application and to receive a response to the application.  Each application will be reviewed on an individual basis, based on the likelihood that the applicant would have the ability to comply with the rental agreement.

Income includes: wages from a job, Social Security Income or Disability, stipends from Department of Human Services (DHS) and other agencies, Section 8 vouchers, etc.  It does not include food stamps.

 


 

The following is a list of apartment complexes owned by Greater Lansing Housing Coalition.  We own the properties yet do not manage them out of our main office.  Individual property managers have been contracted to run the properties.  Please contact them directly for application specifics and criteria.  All are for low and moderate income-eligible individuals and/or families.

This property has 135 units, of these units 126 are subsidized (goes according to income).  We have one (35 one bedrooms are reserved for senior 62 or older and disabled persons), two, three and four bedroom units at this property.  It costs nothing to be put on the waiting list for vacancies.  Property management company is KMG Prestige.

2.  Jefferson Street Square Apartments

This property has 62 units, of these units, 57 are part of an affordable housing program.  It is for those that are 55 years or older.  We have efficiencies, one and two bedroom units at this property.  It costs nothing to be put on the waiting list for vacancies.  Property management company is KMG Prestige.

This property has 22 units, of these units 8 are subsidized for chronically homeless.  All of the units are one bedroom apartments.  Property management company is MTH Management.

4.  Walnut Street Apartments

This is a nine, one bedroom unit apartment building.  This property has a special referral system in place and is specified for homeless individuals with serious mental illness.  All referrals are via Community Mental Health; referrals are then passed to Justice In Mental Health Organization (JIMHO) for application process to commence.  If you, or someone you know, meets this criteria; please contact your CMH case manager for referral information.
