Mid-Michigan
home enthusiasts will enjoy an opportunity to tour
five of Lansing's most notable homes during GLHC's
Home Tour 2006. Participants will visit the featured
homes in the Moores River Drive area at a relaxed
pace on the tour date between 12PM and 4PM |

|
The
Tour is a vital fundraiser for the Coalition and
funds from this important event will help the Coalition
rehabilitate housing in Lansing's distressed neighborhoods.
GLHC is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) community
development corporation that has rehabilitated 130
houses in Lansing and sold them at affordable prices
to first-time homebuyers, and 212 apartments for
rent to those of modest means. |

will be available beginning in early September at
Mole Hole, O'Leary Paint, Smith Floral and Greenhouses,
and Wild Birds Unlimited, as well as at the Coalition
office located at 1017 West Lapeer Street in Lansing.

3,546 square foot Tudor style home built for Joseph and Catherine
Knapp, circa 1926, is now home to Don LeDuc and Susan Coley, who
have retained the home's casual elegance. Tourists will pass through
a small arched brick entryway with barred windows and slate floor

two built-in display cases,and
window seating over old radiators. Views of gardens and a golf
course are seen through leaded glass.
